The daily word comes from a fixed list of 50. Everyone sees the same one on the same date, it turns over at midnight in your time zone, and the cycle repeats roughly every 50 days.
The plain sounds-like pronunciation (pan-uh-SEE-uh) is derived from the dictionary’s phonetic spelling rather than written by hand, so treat it as an approximation. When it can’t be derived you get the raw phonetic alphabet instead.
🔊 Listen, usage examples and synonyms come only from the backup dictionary, which has been unreliable, so most words show a pronunciation and meanings without them.
🔍 Looking Words Up
One word per lookup. Anything after the first space is dropped, and characters that aren’t a letter, hyphen or apostrophe are stripped — so “run fast” looks up run.
When a word does show synonyms, tap one to look it up next.

The words are related to the topic rather than a strict glossary, so now and then one is only loosely connected. A topic too narrow to find enough words tells you so. Difficulty picks Everyday, Uncommon or Rare words. Your choices are remembered on every device you log in on.
