If you run into trouble — page stuck, things not saving, or an error message —
try these steps in order.
-
Refresh the page.
On mobile, drag down from the top of the screen. On desktop, press Ctrl+F5.
If you were logged out for being away too long, you will be asked to log in again.
-
Close the browser and re-open.
After a site update, old sessions can cause temporary errors.
-
Clear your browser cache.
Forces your browser to download the newest version of the site rather than reusing
the copy it saved earlier.
-
Try Incognito / Private Browsing.
Runs with a clean cookie and cache state without affecting your normal browser profile.
-
Try a different browser or device.
Helps rule out a browser-specific setting, extension, or cached file as the cause.
-
Try a different connection.
If you're on Wi-Fi, try turning off Wi-Fi on your phone and switch to mobile data temporarily.
In rare cases, your internet provider (especially Spectrum) may decide to block the site temporarily in error.
-
Contact us.
Use the Contact Us page
and include what you were doing and any error text you saw.

📲 Install this site as an app
You can put PaulMendelson.com on your home screen and open it like any
other app — no App Store or Play Store needed. It gets its own icon, opens
full-screen instead of in a browser tab, keeps working offline for pages you have already
opened, and uses no battery in the background.
- iPhone / iPad: open the site in Safari (only Safari can install
apps on iOS), tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android: open the site in Chrome, tap the menu (⋮),
then Install app (or Add to Home screen).
- Desktop (Chrome / Edge): click the install icon in the address bar.

Unhide all inline tips
The small blue tips around the site each carry an × to hide them
for good. This brings back every one you've hidden. While you're logged in they're
remembered on your account, so this restores them on every device you use.
🛠️ Why The Order Matters
The steps run from least to most disruptive — each one throws away a
little more saved state than the one before, so starting in the middle costs
you something for no reason.
A plain refresh fixes more than you'd expect: your login ticket stays
valid for a full year, and a lost or timed-out session is rebuilt from it
before the page renders — no password, no visible login step. That's
why "it just started working again" is the most common outcome of step 1.
