🔑 The Google Button Is Two Different Doors
If your Google address already belongs to an account here, the button signs you straight in — no wizard. The first time, Google gets linked to that account and you're sent a courtesy security notice.
Brand new? You skip ahead to Step 3 with your first name, last name, and email filled in from your Google profile. ← Back still reaches Steps 1 and 2 if you want to change any of it — and the prefill never overwrites anything you already typed.
💡 Tips
- First Name needs at least 2 characters — a lone initial is bounced with a message that just says "Enter First Name".
- The first letter of each name is capitalized for you; the rest is kept exactly as you typed it.
- At Finish, a unique Display Name (e.g. jsmith) is built from your first initial + last name — the wizard never asks for it, and Edit My User Profile has no field to change it later.
